After Body Lift Question

Ok, for you guys that have already installed your lift, did any of you ever have a problem with the doors being harder to open, as if the frame or body was twisted?

thanks in advance

No problems on my BII. The doors still open and close smoothly.

Nope, not at all. Everything still functions perfectly, save for my T-case shifter.

if you had the doors open while one side of the body was jacked up could have also tweaked with the door hinges

do what bill said.

When you were putting th bolts in, did you leave them loose till all 6 cab bolts were in, or did you tighten the one side down then lift the other side?

You are suppost to leave them all loose untill the cab is sitting level on all 6 blocks, then tighten them.

no your suppose to do one side completly then go to the other side and do it.

i would definatly make sure the bolts on the one side are tight before moving to the other side.

I semi-tightened all my bolts before moving to the other side. The doors were open and I've never had any problems with my body lift.

acording to the instructions, its says jack up one site, insert blocks and bolts, jack up other side, insert blocks and bolts, and then you pull the bolts out one by one and use the red locktite

says insert the bolts. then goto the other side.

im pretty sure you tighten them before you move to the other side. otherwise it defeats the point of doing one side at a time.

The directions specify one side at a time because it helps reduce installer error, skipped steps, etc.

You're supposed to get all the blocks in (no matter which side you start on) with the bolts loosely secured. Once all are in place, tighten them.

Is it possible to have one half of the cab too far forward? Sorry to Hijack, but I have wierd rubbing issues on the Driverside fender when turned and hitting a bump, like the driverside is pushed too far forward.

we had the bolts tightened up, but we also look all the bolts out again to put the lock tight on them. Im sure when you do that the body sets how it is suppost to...i donno, its a guess.

If the doors are not shuting right, i'd say the body is twisted somehow, and loosing the bolts may let it set right.
