Body Lift's Comparison

I have been reading through a lot of body lift posts on this great website but cannot seem to find an answer to my question. I have a 2008 XL 2wd I plan on installing a 3” B/L but I am not certain if I should order the Summit kit or the P/A kit? I read where the P/A kit comes with a bracket to keep the A/C line away from the belt but does the Summit kit come with exactly the same items as the P/A kit? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it's been posted before in multiple threads. So far as I or anything I've read says, they are the same kit. My summit body lift kit came with it and I didn't need it(2.3l).

I understand 'em to be the same exact kit. The instructions are the exact same minus pics in the summit kit. You can get the PA ones online.

BUT.....WHY get a bodylift when you can get a spindle??? IMO, go suspension before body. Us 4x4 guys have the awesome $1500+ suspension lifts when the 2wd trucks can get a spindle lift for like $400.

98-00 kit works on the 02's and up, and yes the bumper brackets will fit, haha mine fit but one of the holes on either side was off a little wouldn't line up with one of the holes on my frame.. no big deal just threw a bolt on either side and called it good, always seem to find something in these kits that doesn't fit like it should.

There's some differences in the kits....

Fuel filler neck lines vary from year to year. For an '08, it needs a 1/4" breather vent. Something no bodylift kit comes with. Trip to the home depot cures that.

No bodylift kit covers those '09's that have like 8 bed bolts. lol.

BUT......any bodylift made for a 98, will work on ALL 98+ trucks. Just some little stuff you'll need to make work yourself. Very small stuff.

Thanks guys for your input. I will be ordering the Summit kit and as soon as the weather here gets a little warmer I will be able to install it.

Cheers
