i just got done reading the PA bl instructions on summits website and they are confusing as hell. do you really have to unplug and un hook everything it says in the instructions?
next week im am getting 285/75/16 m/t baja atz's (specialty tread) put on the truck. then im ordering a 3" bl next month so any tips would be great.
thanks

for the most part yes... its really not that bad though. there are 2 maybe 3 ground connections to take off and then the battery connections.
you have to
loosen the radiator mounts
pull the rear seats
lift the carpet
pull the bumpers
work on the gas line hose.
unhook the steering extension
its not really that bad... plus your truck is new! no rust. just use some heat on those bolts from the bottom side and use air tools
drive to fort wayne... we can put it on in a day.

those tires are very close, they will probably rub some... personally i would wait until you have the lift on.
there is this great place that will mount tires and balance them out for 50$ here locally. i like to use them. they did a great job balancing my 35s.
idk about on a lift. i dont have that luxury. lol i just use a jack. so i would not know.
i dont have many tools, i have what it takes to get it done and i did my SAS at home so i have a decent collection but not everything.
thanks for the comments. only thing about doing it at my place is i would rather wait for a warm day! maybe sometime in march/april?

yeah its the worst... right now its just too cold to even walk to the truck...
i dont have heat in the shop i would want to do the work in. ive got a few propane heaters but propane is freakin expensive. if you have a bigger heater or something you could bring it and we can do it earlier...

Hey I just did my BL with a friend and regular hand tools. It took 8 hours and a lot of muscle! I would at least look at what the directions say to remove and judge for yourself. There were a couple of things that i didnt have to remove that the instructions wanted me to. You WILL have to remove the ground straps, unbolt the radiator and lift it off the bottom perches, pull the drivers side wire loom out of the snaps for slack, and take the brake lines out of the snaps as well (just in case). That was about all I can remember having to mess with! Oh take the intake off completely!
Good luck
