how in hell did you strip them... if you thread the bolt in by hand first like you are supposed to there is no way to strip them..

when we have done body lifts even the last one on a truck that is 10 years old we used a 2 1000lb/ft impact guns and you still start deforming the bed before those strip.

no offense but maybe you guys need some help next time.. you have issues i have never heard of before..
Yeah all mine went in super easy. I just measured my bolt and sure enough it was the wrong size. Gotta go get a new one at Lowes tonight.

1st off pull the stick out of your butt! 2nd. how many body lifts have you done???

Oh and when you can pull one completely off a truck up on 39.5's realize the tires will rub and put the body lift back on in less than an hour. While it's pouring down freaking rain and the only air tool you have is an air ratchet let me know.

B/L's hardly ever stay on forever they are a cheap way to fit bigger tires and thats all they are. Most people who use them to get a bigger tire just end up going bigger on suspension anyway and the b/l comes off.

Hey pace, take a chill pill. Redneckstone has put on more lifts than a lot of people on here. Maybe myself including...I'm up to 9 body lifts and 5 suspension just on rangers.

Don't come on here with that attitude, you'll be gone real real soon.

And who would ditch a body lift for a bigger suspension. There is only RCD and Superlift...unless you go custom SFA. Then your in a whole nother world. And you'd be smart to leave it on, and set your suspension 3" lower than you would have, it will ride a lot nicer and have better steering/track angles.

Thats on full size trucks mybad. As for the rest of it. I just went back and re read everything sorry I jumped off the handle alittle early.

My buddies and I have lifted all of our own trucks and many trucks for people from other 4x4 clubs as well. Heck we've even made a few bucks at it. I/We all take pride in the job we do and so I don't being told we're jerry riggin stuff. And if It's somthing you feel strong about you'll tell someone to go get bent as well, so on that one ya no stuff happens and life goes on.

I hear ya. Full size is a whole nother ball park. I've made quite a few dollars working on cars myself.

For a ranger...I think a body lift is an awesome way to get 3" higher. I love it, it's easy as all heck to do.

Yeah Rangers are very limited on suspension lift choices. Stone has put on at least 12 body lifts so he knows what he's talking about.

see the thing is it doesnt make you a bigger man to say "oh screw instructions dont need them!"

they are there for a reason is what i am saying.. and yes i dont even read them anymore. only thing i check the instructions for is where which length bolt goes where. tend to forget that one for some reason..

and yes i have done enough body lifts to do it in my sleep lol..

also on the comment of people usually take them off....?!?!??! um um i can count on my hand about 5 members i have ever known to take off one after installing it.. 90% of people leave them on.. hell look at Beard solid axle and everything.. still has body lift..

I am glad you guys make money off working on vehicles thats good. see here is a saying i hear all the time by my father its a good one.. "there is an easy way, and a hard way" I have learned over the years of working on so many vehicles i cant even count anymore its so much better to just do it the simple and easy way..

I got see if I can dig up a pic but my buddy and I built up his 97 black F-150 reg cab long bed. He bought fabritech's 1st straight axel kit the ever sold. We used a dana 44 from a 78 Bronco. Put 3" spring packs on it, kicker L7 15, t.v. playstation, painted the frame black and put yellow and red web spray on it. 39.5 Boggers on Weld rims (forget the model) the truck was sick.

Most everything I've ever done has been on full size. I bought my Ranger because no one had a jacked up ranger around the house that looked halfway deasent. most of them are high school kids who beat the crap out of them. The Super Duty's are a freaking dime a dozen. I never realized before I got the ranger how limited you really are. I'm thinking about dumping my super lift for the RCD kit for now. Getting my frame sprayed white to match the truck, the IFS sprayed white, the rear sparyed white, my roll bar & KC lights sprayed white, and all my plastics sprayed white. My secondary color is orange so my shocks, brake dums, front drive shaft, and a few other things are orange. Hopefully by the mid August I'll be able to drop it off at the body shop and get everything painted. Then I wana get my seats recovered in leather but the same as they are now with black leather around the outside and grey in the middle.

Swap in a 8.8 out of a Expo with disc brakes, gets rid of them ugly drums and better braking performance.

Got the right bolts in now, no more weird noises!

DO THAT! And sell your superlift to RangerExtreme !!!! He's in Penn, so there could be a meet in that. DO IT!

BUT you could just convert to coil over using the superlift dif drops and RCD or FOX coilovers like MudSlanger.

I know it's your truck and you can do whatever you want to with it...but...

WTF?!

I dunno about painting the frame. You do know that the frame is coated with a wax type substance that prevents corrosion right? I say do what you want to your truck, but I really doubt that would turn out very good. Plus, even if it initially looks OK, its gonna end up looking like **** in about 6 months.

All the other stuff you want to paint sounds cool though.

i read some instructions on line that say you may have to cut the bottom of the fan shroud to make addiquite room for the fan to spin once the body is lifted.
