When I bought my truck the parking brake wasn't hooked back up because of no bracket. I'd really like to have a parking brake with my manual transmission now! lol

Does anyone have a picture of what the extension bracket looks like because I can't find one?

I didnt put on any kind of extension on mine

 

same here my lift came with the bracket but i didnt put it on and that was 5 years ago lol you should be able to hook it back up mine is doing fine with out the bracket

 

yeah same here. never had to put that bracket on. We've done 3 different trucks.

 

Huh?! Well mines too tight to put it into the stock hole...

How do you adjust the brake cable then?

 

just work with it, I got mine in without the bracket too

 

im running no bracket too though i have the bracket needed if you need it

 

I don't have a bracket on mine either lol no problems and my brake holds well. Just put ur truck in 1st when its off lol my friend never puts his ebrake on in his manual 01 ranger

 

Thanks but i'll take a look and see if I can get it without.

I do when i'm on somewhat flat ground... but my driveway is too steep to do that lol and it would be nice to be able to warm my truck up without sitting in it!

 

Good news...
I was able to get everything hooked up and its now working...
What really threw me off was the fact that I used to have step bars on it and the bracket for the bars used the body mounts and I had left those brackets on it.
I had just assumed that I needed that bracket so never really looked that close! lol

 

i am not able to get my cable through any suggestions??

 

I've installed 4 98+ bodylifts.....and NONE have I touched the parking brake cable...
