Im looking to get a 3" lift for my truck, is there a kit or something that comes with EVERYTHING I would need?

I have saw ones that say it requires a bumper lift, or something. Im new at this and am confused as to what i need to buy. Any help would be great. We have like 0 specialty shops where i live at =(

I found a place in town that will order it...install and everything else for $550.

Is this reasonable? labors whats expensive the kits like 200 and its the only place around here that does it...i want it but is it worth it?

I did my BL with a buddy and he has a shop with good tools and it was a all night install. Work from 6pm-8:30am. If i had to do it over agian i would pay someone to do the install if i could spare $550.

Well we ran into a prob with the cab bolts (4 bolts in all) There was nothing to back up the bolt when removing. The instuctions said Quote get a friend with a big pair of channel plairs to hold the bottom fastner. Unless your friend is superman you can't hold on to it cause of the torque put on by factory.
Plus ford put thread locker on all the cab bolts. So we had to cut the head of the bolts off with a dremile tool. Took an extra 31/2hrs to do. It may be different on your yr model mine is a 03. If you do it yourself you save a least $300.

you can do it in a day with the help of friends. Do a search for how to install a body lift you will find a lot of helpful hints. As for the body bolts if you heat them up with a propane torch until they start to smoke and use a impact on them they will come out with no problems.

Have you ever used a wrech, impact gun, and small propane torch? If so you can do it yourself.

Hell if you lived closer I am sure we could get a group togther that would do it for food lol.

Like stated above search for the install intructions. There floating somewhere around here.
