I have notice truck taking a few extra cranks to start on two occasions the past month but ran fine other than that. Went to start truck after sitting in sun and turns over but no start. checked inertia switch. Do not hear fuel pump run when switch turned on. Fuel pump relay clicks with switch. Jumpered out inertia switch and still do not hear pump when switch turned. Used a large paper clip to jump and it got warm. Removed jumper. Truck started rite up two hours later after dark and can hear pump come on. Does inertia switch go directly to pump? Could pump be locking up since paper clip got warm? Should it have blown fuse?

It could be a few things can u check if you have power AT UR FUEL PUMP ? sorry for the caps also do you have a tachometer ? your crank sensor could be on its way out

 

Check condition of wiring/connector at inertia switch - I've seen a few that would start to melt when inertia switch was starting to fail.
