Im helping a buddy out to troubleshoot and fix his truck

It died on him he replaced the fuel pump and relay still nothing
There is spark , and fuel at the fuel rail

I tried throwing a little ether at it and nothing

Im thinking timing or compression issue

any insight would be great

 

Hmm nothing ok well guess ill just go back to the trouble tree

 

Peel back the top of the timing belt cover and watch the belt as someone turns the engine over.
If it don't move ... well thats a problem.
