turbo 2.3 question

What is involved in putting a turbo from a Turbo Coupe T-bird on a ranger? Would I be better off changing the whole engine or are they basically the same. What about electronics? Would I have to change the computer? Would the tranny hold up? I'm not sure what the tranny is, I just know it's a 5-speed. I think the truck would be a blast to drive with a turbo-charged engine. Any suggestions or resources would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

since youve got a 90, pull the whole motor. swap it in, the M5 tranny will hold up fine. for electronics, simplest is to re-pin the ranger harness, IMO, and use the turbo PCM.

ranger power sports has a good turbo swap forum.
