Thats about normal.
In winter in ohio mine gets about 15mpg. 18 in the summer.

Which I find hilarious because my beater '91 caddy with the 4.9V8 gets 20 in the winter
(not sure summer mpg yet)
And the caddy weighs over 2 tons.

I get 22 Mpg , North Carolina .And sometimes I drive heavy I would suggest checking your air pressures, also make sure your spark plugs are good.

4-cylinder highway mileage should be way better than 17 MPG. That could be an OK city number, depending on traffic and driving habits. The important question is this: has it dropped significantly from how it used to be when driving under the same conditions?

David, I'm betting we'd prolly get better gas mileage with a 302.... Cause I'm in the same shape as you....15-17 mpg's.....

my 96 2.3L gets 24-28 and my 04 3.0L is getting 19-22 so maybe your a little hard on the gas, or your always driving up hill into the wind

I'm right around the 13 mpg mark. It's pretty sad. Everyone in every car is complaining about the same problem right now. The fuel companies are loading gasoline with more additives to stretch it further and in turn it's destroying fuel mileage everywhere. We've been getting a million complaints about it ever since gas went over the $2.00 a gallon mark well over a year ago at every dealership I've worked at. A majority of the spark plugs I've changed lately are all tinted a deep yellow from the crap they put in the fuel. If you don't like your fuel mileage go to a different gas station. I do horrible with HESS gasoline and decent with most others. The best fuel I buy is Aamco.

Daniel how in the **** do you get 19-22 on a 3.0? I call BS. I've never heard of a 3.0 getting that kind of mileage regularly. Mine stock was only 17, maybe.
