I cant figure out how to get the box off....2002 ranger

 

it should come right out without any problems. It is held in with by the plastic tabs and rubber grommets.

 

How do i take the cover off tho like what do i exactly yank on?

 

theres like 3-4 tabs that have to be pushed inward and then just pull straight up and itll come off...

think its in the manual too if that didnt help...

 

I cant find it in the manual anywhere...Sorry I am new to my Ranger guys lol

 

like stated earlier, there are a couple tabs on the air box lid, push them in and pull the whole thing off, it is quite simple, just look at it, it's self explanitory.

im confused now... do you want to take the whole thing out? or jsut be able to access the air filter?

There are two snaps on the side of the housing where the hose leading to the intake is. Push both towards the fender, tilt the housing up slightly and push it in the direction of the engine. That should be all you have to do. On the 2.3, there might be a hose kind of in the way...just push it aside as best you can.

 

Read the airbox.. the lid removal instructions are posted

you just press 2 tabs on the right in. then lift up from the right side and
slide the top up and off
(left side has 3 pieces you have to slide out as you lift.
