I have a 1999 ranger, something happened yesterday and a pipe broke on the passenger side of the exhaust. Now I have a bad exhaust leak. What is this pipe? What does it do? Thanks in advance, Keith

the pic is of the passenger side exhaust where the exhaust manifold meets the mid pipe

 

its hard to tell for sure but that appears to be the EGR tube.

 

I'm not sure if this helps to give you an idea of where it is. The pipe does have two little pipes attached to it, and runs up behind the motor and is covered in a white heat wrap. If it is a egr tube is it ok to drive?
