I am currently in the process of getting ready to put a new exhaust on my 05 stx. My buddy will be building it for me. We will be using galvanized or aluminized pipe(not sure which 1 yet, probably galvanized because we get no snow here)
We will be installing an x pipe / split rear / dual exhaust
Right now I am trying to determine what size pipe to use. Was thinking 2 - 2.5" with stainless steel magnaflow tips
Looking to see whos running what on there Rangers and what their opinions are. Thnx boyz

if you search around there have been numurous threads recently about going with true duals and an x-pipe on 4.0L engines. everyone is in agreement that even the 4.0 doesnt flow nearly enough to gain anything from the x-pipe. i dont know about 3.0L engines but i love the 2.5" exhaust on my 4.0. you should obviously go smaller.
i would search around at all th different exhaust manufacturers website like magnaflow, gibson, borla, flowmaster... and see what they offer for the 3.0. that will be the most beneficial to you to figure out proper sizing

x2 dont do the true duals, it will make the 3.0 more of a dog. Go with si/do Im running 2.5 aluminum piping with 2.75 slashed tips.
