GF has 2005 Ranger Edge, 3.0 6cylinder engine. Took truck in to parts store after truck began sputtering at idle and had limited acceleration even when gas pedal floored. Also, engine light came on and gave that P0352 code. I replaced the ignition coil, plugs and cables along with fuel filter and problem remains. Need help with correct resolution...anyone know what fixes this problem?

I have the same problem. I have changed plugs and tried a new ignition coil but it did not fix the problem. I will let you know when I find the cause of my missfire.

 

It ended up being the PCM. I took it in thinking it may have been the catalytic converter and the repair shop diagnosed a bad PCM.

 

Thanks for the reply. A P0352 code comes up everwhre with a google search but it seems to be new users on the forums and they don't report the fix. Other sites have a way to give "reps" but I can't find it on this one or I would give you some. Did a Ford dealer have to replace the PCM and if so what was the cost? I will report my solution when I get it fixed. I am not ready to give up yet as I know a trip to the Ford dealer will be expensive but they do have the WDS system which is the best way to go. Thanks again. It is people such as yourself that make the search function work as designed.
I am still reeling from a $2000 PCM repair last summer that took out 5 coils on my 06 Mercury Milan. Come on Ford, I expect better than this. I was traveliling and had to have it towed to a Ford dealer 300 miles from home to be repaird.

 

You're welcome! The removal and installation was very easy so I did it myself. I bought the PCM from Pep Boys for $250. The only thing I had to have the dealership do was program it which cost $120. I recommend taking the truck to get diagnosed. The place I took it to put some computer to it and troubleshot it to the PCM which made it a no branier to replace it. Good luck!

My P0352 was a PCM issue. After the PCM replacement, I had a misfire code on the number 3 cylinder so the ignition coil pack was replaced. I will report back if I have any more issues related to this.

Two PCM replacements on 2 different Ford vehicles in less than 8 months seems excessive. I hope this a fluke.
