Icon5 Transmission leaking fluid

Hello everyone im hoping someone can identify the parts on my transmission that started leaking today and what am i gonna have to do to fix the leak.. im attaching pics of the part that it is leaking from so u can understand what i am dealing with. i circled the part that the leak is coming from with a red circle and the parts circled in yellow are what seems to be like circlips or whatever they r called. the clips looks to be holding the round part in place but it is not seated correctly like it should be. can any one tell me what this is called and or how to fix the leak. thanks

oh i have a 1999 ranger 4x4 3.0l if that helps

holy frame rust, batman! you must live up north! on topic: take that to a transmission specialist would be my suggestion. if you have someone near you you're in good with that will look at it for no charge, go for it.

Assuming thats the passenger side since that appears to be the dipstick tube thats your servo cover. Theres a gasket in there that probably failed. Also looks like the c clip retainer has popped out on one side.

well i think i got it fixed. i just used a hydraulic ram body kit tool & pushed in the cover far enough to pull the clip off then cleaned it up and cleaned the groove it sits in and so far no leaks. hope it stays that way. lol. thanks for the help.

Yeah could have been just because the clip popped up so no pressure to hold it in but id keep an eye on it to make sure the seal wasn't damaged. And hope it stays dry for you!

well the fact that its -0 degrees outside w/ couple feet of snow on the ground, makes it hard to lay under a vehicle working on something. that and the fact the exhaust pipe runs right in the way making it hard to see & very lil room to get hands up there. quick fix is all i could do. so if it were a nice day outside and i had the parts needed to do it right... i would spend more time on it.

may i add it hasnt leaked even a drop since then so all is good. thanks
