Get you about a 800 WATT AMP, fill the bed with subs, and play truck sounds?

What size exhaust tips do you have? If you go with a 3" tips, it will act like a megaphone. I know that it made my truck deeper and louder....

Headers, roller rockers, 3" stainless tip (Chrome is cheaper but high maintenance) and, believe it or not, a custom PCM tune. Tone is all about free flowing, hot exhaust gases finding their way out. With the proper timing and fuel mixture (for the fuel type and octane you are using), the exhaust note changes noticably. Headers provide a nice, crisp, low tone especially.

i thinks is a 50/50 shot, the previous owner of my truck had some bolt on kit with chrome tips and they rusted out so i cut the pipes off at the muffer and put two turndowns on it and i love it, i set off car alarms in the garage at school almost everyday.

It's all about what you like, I like my straight duals. LOL, when I bought the truck it had the setup that it has now in those pics, after a while I decided to try something different. I had them take out the Y and weld in a si/do flowmaster 40 series. It sounded good, but I wanted it louder again so I went back to this setup. Im debaiting on the new super 44, but that won't be until later on... It's just all about what you want.

If i were to cut the muffler off, install high flow cat by magnaflow and have a y pipe adapter thing make it dual right to the back bumber would it sound at all any better?? at the same time will not having a muffler not create enough back pressure for the motor?

Yes, having 2.5" pipes with some hot 3" or 3.5" tips will sound way better than just hacking the muffler off. Completely different. As far as the back pressure, you will be just fine, espically if you plan to keep the cat/cats. It's not a race car, it's not a big deal and won't make much if any difference.

Here is a clip with about the same setup I have you see in my pictures above.

It doesn't change that sound of your exhaust much, if at all. However an Intake will have a loud sound under the hood. I have the K&N Fipk on mine and I love the sound it gives. It doesnt matter which one you get first.

What is the point of that? That won't be necessary if he uses a muffler.
