mpg

whats the easiest way to improve my mpg on a 06 ranger sport?

Make sure that your tire size aand gear size match for the best mileiage, and keep your foot off the long pedal keep your tires inflated to the propper pressure.

what about straight pipes and a cai i herd they give u better mpg

drive slower, dont go over 3k getting up to speed and coast to a stop. Thats the easiest...if you wanna spend money, it wont be worth it...youll spend too much to get 1-2 mpg increase...maybe an underdrive pulley would be cheapest mod to start with. Intake/exhaust wont do you any good. If youre stock, then your gearing is ok...you probably have 3.73 on stock tires...regearing would cost atleast 400 and going to 4.10 wouldnt be noticeable and you dont want 4.56 on stock tires. If you have taller tires, go back to stock size.

he probably has a v8, you dont. Even if he does have a v6, your truck will sound like poo...dont do it.
