squeeking/scraping noise.

Im getting a strange squeek/scrape sound from my truck.

its an 03 Edge 5 speed 3.0L with 70K on it.

the only way I can describe the sound is a metal fan rubbing on something metal.

it is not vehicle speed, brake or direction related. It wont do it at idle or if you rev the engine in neutral. It only does it under acceleration and you cant really hear it when you are just cruising at a constant speed.

I grabbed the fan and gave it a wiggle and spun it a few times and all seems fine. the engine makes no strange noises at idle. A/C Compressor clicks in and out as it should with no extra noise.

I have felt like the engine makes more noise than usual above 60MPH in 5th gear.

I feel like its the fan clutch, but it doesnt wobble or make any noise when I spin it by hand.
