bad fuel pump
hello everyone , i have a 2006 ranger with the 3.0 v6 and 200,000 miles.
im pretty sure my fuel pump is bad, if i shoot starter fluid down the motor
it starts but dies ,so spark is ok .fuse is good ,i have voltage. i swapped out relay and i hear it clicking and i reset the emergency cutoff button
and changed out the filter .still no fuel at rail and no pump noise when i turn on ignition , i only have this truck about a year so i don't really know the history
of it but it is in very good shape . no dry rot on wires or any extensive rust .
all advice is welcome , thanks

Reads like you have done all the tests.
On the emergency cutoff(inertia switch) there are 2 connections, 12volts in and 12volts out, just to make sure you could put a test light on one connection and turn key on, power should come on for 2 seconds each time key is turned on.
This switch is the last stop for the 12volts going to the fuel pump, so outside of a bad wire or ground for the pump then yes fuel pump may need to be changed.
There is usually a 4 wire connector under the truck for the fuel tank
Fuel pump power
Fuel Pump ground
Fuel level sender power
Fuel level sender ground
The grounds are moved around but are often near the inertia switch in the cab
