New exhaust break in period?

I installed my gibson exhaust last nite and overall i like it, but i've notice that it seems quiet until my engine gets warmed up. Is there a break-in period for new exhausts? I believe i remember reading they get a little louder once its broken in some...

I didn't noticed any increase in sound since I installed mine. It has been on my Ranger for 55,000 miles. Do you think it is broken in yet?

The Gibson Side Swept exhaust just is not very loud.

gibsons arent known for being loud but for having a deep tone to them especially with a v6. and yes there usually is a breakin period. if the tone doesnt change from stock there could be something wrong with the muffler.

the tone is definatly deeper, but the engine needs to be warm for it to produce the deep sound, i dunno its weird

Your engine is going to have a difference in back pressure, so itll adjust to the new exhaust after about a month and no more. For the warming up issue the heat comes into play, it greatly affects the sound.

Gibsons are barely louder than the stock, however it has a nicer, deeper tone. It gives you power without it being obnoxious.
