Got my underdrive pulley on

Well i put my pulley on form the graniteguy. The tires seem to spin easier, and feels like it accelarates better. I did a little test in an area that i can usually get up to 40mph without spinning I was able to spin the tires slightly and get to 45mph in the same distance. I ordered the pulley Wed. and it made it here today graniteguy shipped the next day so all is good

8+ Hp and 11+ Torque for about $109 with belt. Gotta love the cost per hp.

Thanks Daniel.

yeah there is a nice return on investment from that stand point and i hope it helps the MPGs alittle too.

LiquidBullet sorry i didn't take any pics but they are easy to find at www.underdog-performance.com so theres not much of a need for more pic.

for anyone who plans on doing this I used a cheater bar to get my hand down away from the fan along with all the tips that Wayne has on his site and it only took me 24 mins to complete from the time the ups man left that included time to print the instructions

Is this on a 3.0? Do you have proof of this claim? For example, are these increases shown by a dyno test?

Yes. Those are the numbers I got with the underdog pulley on an automatic. Someone on RPS gained more torque than me on a manual equipped 3.0 and posted his results. Here's my dyno run:

http://underdog-performance.com/id75.html

I'll be back with an RPS link if I can find it.

here's the rps link. He doesn't have a base run but he got 133 HP and 168 torque from an underdog pulley and K&N intake. Pretty dang good.

Dyno horsepower is measured at the wheels, not at the crank. When a manufacturer claims xxx HP and xxx torque, those numbers are at the crank. The power that actually makes its way to the wheels is a whole different story.

3.0's have 154 at the crank and I think 118 or so at the wheels. But don't quote me on that.

01-03 148hp at the crank (~118 wheel)
04-06 154hp at the crank (~123 wheel)

almost makes me cry seeing those low #s

but the pully will definitely be the first mod i do after my warrenty runs out (i've gone through 3 pully systems so far under warrenty, so i dont want to have to pay )

You are going to get the same increases off-road as on road... you'd be getting more Torque, so a little better low end power on the trails. And yes you will get a slight MPG increase

i decided to go ahead and fill the tank today so i could start on a good mileage test. so eventhough i gave my truck some hell when i got the pulley on i still got 20.08mpg

that is with about 5 0-60 runs and 2 0-100 runs and some 40-80 pulls 56 city miles and 70 highway miles so i'm interested to see what it will get with normal driving

It's literally a 10 minute job with a 14 mm socket and an impact wrench with a 15/16" socket. Without those it is a &*&%^&%*&&.
