The other day i drove my truck over 60 miles to work on the hyway...left the lights on so got a jump, and went to lunch. It ran fine on the lunch run. About 4 hrs later ( the temperature had dropped significantly) i began my journey home. About 10 mins later while still on city roads it sputtered and check engine light came on. It drove okay for a few mins but then wanted to stall whenever i came to a light. I got on the hyway then it began sputtering intermittently with the engine light going off for a few seconds then back on...then. i couldnt get it to go over 40 mph. I finally nursed it to the next exit and towed it home. When i looked under hood i noticed the upper radiator was rock hard??? Help please

 

if the battery was drained by U leaving the lights on maybe that is a issue how old is the battery... etc... if it's old it maybe a week battery... but I've got a old ranger and I think I've been having problems with on and off... first it was the roll over fuel pump cut off switch
then the Mod on the back of the TFDI or what it was called I've gone through 3 of them..
