Pull the #1 plug. Turn the balancer till it reads 0degrees. Put the distributer back in. The cap should be marked for the #1 wire. The rotor should point to such.
This SHOULD have you somewhere +/-10 degrees from where you need to be. Tighten the distributer bolt down so its firm, but allows for some movement in turning it. Start the truck. Slowly turn the distributer both ways till you find the ' sweet spot '. cut the engine off, sinch the bolt for the distributer down so the distributer no longer turns.
