engine overloaded with fuel

well the problem is when i first start my truck up in the a.m it fires up fine drives fine nothin bad but when i get it warmed up lets say 15 miles or so if im at a dead stop for longer then 2 mins the rpm will jump from 700-1200 then slowly bog down like its out of fuel and shut off will restart in about 45 secs. another thing is when its warm and i shut it off then go to restart i gotta pump the accelerator to get it to start and it smells like its flooding out? iv changed cap rotor plugs wires im leaning towards the ecm at the moment. any one else have a similar problem? this is my daily driver so any info is gonna be very helpful!

truck is a 1993 lwb 4x4 5 speed 3.0

Sounds like the diaphram in the fuel pressure regulator might be leaking. Pull the vacuum line off of it, and check for a fuel smell.

Pumping the accelerator before you start is flooding it out. mine does this occasionally (leaky injector). when you fire it back up and it bogs down and dies, put the pedal to the floor till about 3-4K then let off.
