Bad Idle Problem

I've got a 2006 Ranger Sport with around 120,000 miles. This problem has only happened twice so far. After the truck was driven for about 15 - 20 minutes. I went to start it and the idle would immediately drop to below 500 and the engine would die. The last time it did this I could here something clicking under the hood. Eventually it would start up and be back to back to normal idle. Make be think a sensor or something is getting stuck when occassionally when the truck is warn. The cel hasn't came on yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try replacing the throttle position sensor. It is bolted on to the throttle body with 2 screws and a plug. They sometimes go which may cause your problem. They run in the area of 60.00 at local auto stores.
