ENGINE SWAP
HELLO, I WAS ON HERE A LITTLE WHILE AGO ASKING ABOUT AN ENGINE SWAP OUT OF 98 MAZDA V-6 IN PLACE OF THE 4 CYLINDER 03 ORG, I WAS ADVISED TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER TO HAVE THE PATS RE-MARIED TO THE CPU HOWEVER IT MAYBE THE ORIGEN (B.C.) SMALL TOWN BUT THEY TOLD ME THE PATS IS NOT EVEN PART OF THE OLDER CPU HARNESS AND IT EITHER WORKS (OPEN LOOP) OR NOT (CLOESED LOOP) BUT DOES NOT TRIP AND NEED TO BE RE-SET, AT MY COAST THEY CAN'T DO SH*T FOR ME, WHAT I WANA KNOW IS I CAN BY-PASS THE IGNITION SWITCH FROM BATT TO STARTER WITH PUSH BUTTON BUT THE FUEL RAIL STILL DOES NOT GET FUEL SO I ASSUME THERES SOME SOILINODE IN THERE THAT IS NOT ALOWING THE FUEL INTO THE RAIL, THERE IS ONE BIG RED WIRE AND 6 OTHER WIRES GOING IN TO THE RAIL SYSTEM, I'M THINKING THE OTHER COLOR WIRES ARE THE SIGNAL AND THE RED IS POWER, CAN I PUT IN A SWITCH FROM BATT TO THIS RED WIRE TO GET THE RAIL TO WORK WITH OUT BURNING OUT SOMETHING OR NOT? ANY HELP IS WELCOME

Very hard to read with all CAPITAL LETTERS.
I assume you have removed the wiring harness and computer for the 2.3l, and installed the wiring harness and computer from the '98.
The PATS module above the glove box should have come out with the 2.3l wiring
If not it won't work.
Fuel injectors get power when key is turned on and EEC relay closes.
EEC relay powers computer, coil, injectors and fuel pump relay.
With key on fuel pump should come on for 2 seconds then shut off, that means EEC relay, computer, and fuel pump relay are working.
Fuel injectors are activated(opened) by the computer grounding them, so they should all have 12volt with key ON, then when cranking engine the computer will ground each injector to open it.
The spark and fuel injectors starting depends on the CKP(crank position) sensor located behind the crank pulley, if it is not working you will have no spark or fuel in the cylinders
