Transmission ???
I have a 1988 2.9 v6 2wd ranger with a bad trans. Will a trans from a 3.0 bolt up? because it seems hard to find 2.9 2wd 5 speed

If the bolt patterns line up correctly... Sure...

Just remember to mark the axle at the diff. before you take it off. I used some white out which works well.

I have been looking for a trans. They are hard to find so i was thinking of selling the motor cause it runs good and swap a 5.0 5 speed in it.

You can get rebuilt ones from Jasper engines and transmissions.

I have started a new route. Sold the 2.9 motor now looking for a 302
