Icon5 Seafoam

What is the best way to use Seafoam in the 3.0, gas tank or intake?
All opinions welcomed!

^ How much in each? Is it best to use if the gas tank is full?

Alright thanks guys! What hose do you use for the intake? Is it alright to just pour it into the crankcase?

And be prepared to change the spark plugs after putting it in the intake.
Pour it in the brake booster line , don't stick the hose in the can.

Better yet - pour it into a bowl, and then use the hose to suck it out - works soo much easier

I bought two cans to make the gas tank more concentrated. Used 1/2 in the brake booster hose, 1/2 in the oil, and a full can in the gas tank I think. I also changed the oil the next morning, which was due anyway.

.. just buy the can and follow the instructions/ do the calculations
i bought two cans so i could use the right amount everywhere and put some in the crank with the new oil to keep any new deposits from forming

my truck used to idle slopily and the mpg was down about 3mpg from before and it fixed it all, feels like it did when i got it 50k miles ago... and i only just finished my first half tank since i foamed it

Just did my truck. Nice smoke show, now I hope I have good results. I still need to change out my o2 sensor and egr sensor (autozone diagnosed the cel as rich reading at 2nd bank)

I bought a can myself and want to use it today. Quick question where is break booster vacuum line on a 93 4.0? I know it may seem like a dumb question but never had to mess with it before now.

Make sure to change your oil and filter after doing a complete gas tank and intake treatment. Longtime fan of seafoam here.

been a big fan of seafoam. I have used it in all my vechicles and playtoys. Works great and I use a tank of gas with in it before storing any of my equipment from weed eaters, chain saws etc.

I use their (Seafoam) penetrating lubricant, but use BG products to remove varnish from the engine and their fuel intake cleaner.

BG Engine Purge (at 30K oil mile changes) and BG-44 for the fuel system. I know that BMW uses Techron as a fuel system cleaner.

I will run BG Engine Purge, for 20 minutes, at 1800 RPM, prior to my oil change every 30K miles.

I run BG-44 every 30K miles as well for the fuel system.

BG Engine Purge will turn that oil black as coal because it is so effective at removing built-up varnish within the engine.

BG-44 for the fuel system. I'm kind of running on faith alone in that regard.
