So i drove my truck around acouple weeks ago and stopped at the gas station...turned truck off and went inside...came back out and truck would not start...it acted like the battery was dead...all it did was clicked. luckily i was able to push it off and pop the clutch and it fired right up no problems....so i then thought it was starter...well my borhter works for advance auto parts and had him test it..it was not the starter..so i went home and put it back on...acouple days later my brother came over to try and help find the problem...he also thought it was starter not working when hooked to engine...so we just defective exchanged the starter...put that one on and it does same thing. So I have a new battery, new starter, new starter solenoid. Can anyone else help me with what the problem is??? Thanks in advance

 

Check the connection from the battery to the starter. You could need a new cable. If the inside is green and coroded you probably do. Just disconnect it then cut back the insalation a little ways and check. Also check you ground.
