my 4.0 gets about 200 miles out of a tank. i was using a full can of sea foam in the gas and got around 230 almost every time even though theres nothing on the can that says it helps with gas millage. but i thought mine was way low too. i got the 16 gallon tank i believe. but i think them 35s are killing your gas millage.

187 to a tank is insane. I was flippin out at 250 and I drive in LA traffic.

You definately have problems, but it can be alot of diffrent things. without more info, I'd say get a professional injector cleaning, change your fuel filter, change your oil, plugs and wires, air filter,

I've seen some complaints about the 3.0 getting stuck in timing retard mode.

I would also look into your trucks health, drive a new ranger, compare it to yours and see if some things seem a little too diffrent given mileage and age.

try using an octane booster/injector cleaner. ran it through mine and got about 1 mpg increase! not bad for 9 bucks

I don't think I even get over 300 anymore, I really don't know. I'll see what I get when I go home next week.

There is no reason you shouldn't be getting over 200 though, it sounds like something is wrong. Well since yall are regular cabs do you have the 16 gal tank? I didn't read the entire thread so sorry if this has already been posted. I know I have the 19.5 gallon tank

330 is the max I ever ran mine near bone dry. The most I have ever put in it is 17.1 gallons, and that was after running it near dry. I dont know my gears. Stock tires and no engine mods.....

I usually get around 285-300 on a tank. Most of the time, I fill back up when the needle is about 1/2 between 1/4 and empty, so it usually takes uhh 14 gal. So figuring on the low side, I am getting about 20mpg. My speedo is off anywhere from 1-2 mph and I'm running 32's w/4.10's. My mpg's might actually be a little higher if my speedo was acurate.
