you just might. there's no way I have a 19. maybe 16-17 for me. no clue. I wait til it stops and then give just a bit more. I like edmunds :)

this is what happened on the way back... I think my odo is very close to spot on. Bessemer City Rd to US-29 S - Google Maps

I thought my 317 was good. then I drove down to gastonia and back and I actually made it and could have gone longer. I was surprised I made it 352 and wasn't close to hitting E. Now, at the beginning of the trip...yeah, that scared me a bit. <edit: just pulled the receipts out of the truck. I put in 16.262 gallons on the way south. then when I got back I only put in 15.609 gallons.>

200 a tank. wow. I do wonder though about bigger tires...the amount of revolutions per mile or whatever is crazy with just a bit bigger tire. and it also throws off your mileage and odo. here's a tire calculator that does RPM comparisons between your stock tire size and your new tire sizes. pretty cool Tire size calculator I also like doing metric to inch so I can see what people are running. the miata one doesn't do tire widths in inches.

I wonder if it's realistic to do some math. If you divide the bigger tires RPMs by the stock RPMs and then multiply that number by "whatever current mileage per tank" and that would be your "close to real" miles per tank.

not bad, how many gallons does it hold? I'm guessing 19 or 20? I'm having a hard time figuring out how my supercab runs out after 16 (and change) gallons. It's got some weird options, XLT with cruise but manual windows + locks, etc.

good deal. Yeah I think mine came out to about 22.56mpg with the 352 per tank and the 15.6 or whatever gallons I put in.

I think it has a lot to do with that "mph range" where your engine does the best on gas. The more you go over the more you can just keep deducting the mpg's. haha

3.0L 5 sp 4x4, RED; RED truck usually get less milage. LoL
12.5 gal tank = 250+ depending on the weight of my foot and how much town vs hy-way.

And think about it this thread started almost two years ago… and it keep going and going and going.

Winter time, I'll get 350ish km's to a tank. Summer I'll get 450 - 500km's a tank. Colder temps and winter blend fuels make fuel mileage BLOW!!

How about just running the truck to warm it up, that takes away from the overall miles per tank.

go to your local auto store and buy some MAF cleaner (leaves like 10% residue compared to carb parts cleaner and dries almost instantly!) and clean your MAF sensor with that. Clean the throttle body with carb cleaner, hold the butterfly open outside of the housing with the spring, spray in there kind of heavy, just kind of wipe around a little bit inside with your finger, then spray heavy again letting it run out with all the dirt, etc. just don't let go of the spring/butterfly, might hurt. hold open for a little while to let it evap a bit. Start it up, it won't want to start and will run like it's on 1 cylinder for about 5 seconds and will be fine after. Anyone else can chime in on anything else...fuel filter...other sensors...EFI/MFI injecting too much fuel, etc? idk best of luck and post back up how that goes.

EDIT>>> MAF is Mass Air Flow sensor. It reads how much air is flowing through the air duct from the filter to the throttle body and controls lean/rich measures for your fuel/air mixture. I searched google for: "mass air flow sensor lean rich" <minus the quotes> and picked the first one. Funny, it deals with ford. haha. http://autotechrepair.suite101.com/a...r_flow_sensors

oh and I don't want to thread-jack anymore than we have already...if you need any other help with cleaning your fuel system to get better mileage, start a new thread or respond to one already started in "fuel" or whatever. I'm sure there are many more options available as to what you can do, and opinions on how to do it, etc. you get the gist.

i get around 300 miles to my tank... but yea what do u mean.. that formula he gave u can't get any simpler than that.. you say your tank is a 15 gal? so take your 185 miles per tank and divide it by 15.. 185/15= 12.33mpg..
