ignition modual burn out
Hello everyone. I have a 1988 ranger 4x4 with a 2.9l and auto transmission. The oil pump failed so I decided to pull the engine and reseal it and replace the oil pump. Now it seems to be burning out the ignition module. When I turn the key on, the fuel pump comes on, pressurizes, then shuts of. If I rotate the distributor, with the key still on, at a certain point the fuel point turns on pressurizes, then shuts off. Is that normal?
