Antifreeze leak
Got a 1989 ranger 2.9 it overheated the other day and I was looking for a leak and found the area where its leaking but cant pinpoint it.It is leaking down to to the right front corner of oil pan then onto ground but cant see where it coming from up above could it be the head gasket leaking or what just changed water pump so pretty sure it isnt that.Any ideas? Thanks

You can get a UV dye and UV flashlight kit to pin point coolant, oil or freon leaks.
But in your case the most likely is lower intake, or core plug(freeze plug) under exhaust manifold.
Also if you get a pin hole leak in a hose it will spray out and drip down away from the hose, so.............hard to find those.
You can rent cooling system pressure testers, hand pump that fits on rad cap opening, you can pump up pressure on cold engine, make finding leaks much quicker than trying to work on hot engine.
