i got one, no problems except it sounds like a shop vac under the hood
haha yeah that is cool though, one thing i just noticed while driving is that when the ac is on, it sounds different, almost like a clicking and sucking in noise
i've had mine in for a few months now, no problems yet! i too have noticed that it sounds like some sort of vacuum at times tho, but i guess thats expected..
I've had mine in for two years, and by no means does it sound like a vacuum. It actually sounds pretty damn throaty. Performance wise, I really can't say my truck is faster or more powerful.
In part, that's because the restriction in the 3.0 is more in the MAF than the intake overall. Put in an aftermarket MAF or do the MAF mod and your high RPM power will increase very noticeably. You can also 1/2 shaft your throttle body to get a little more air.

Are you in good standing at GenEdge? I wrote a how-to that is on that site when I was a member there. It's probably the most complete one.
A simplified version of it can be found on my CarDomain site right here
EDIT: Apparently, either Bob (SoundPer4mance) hasn't edited my old how-to for the new format over there on GenEdge, or it's been withdrawn for some reason. I've now done literally dozens of MAF's with no problems on 3.0's.
Make sure you clean the filter properly and frequently. Also, re-applying filter oil correctly is crucial, because K&N's will let a lot of debris through without it.
