Loud motor
Does anybody know why my 2000 ranger xlt with a 3.0 v6 has a loud motor? Is there a way i can fix it or do i just need to put some dynomat in and live with it?

its not that your motor is loud, its that your exhaust is to quiet!!!!!

Loud as in clicking, clanking, thumping, whistling, wooshing, grinding, hissing, and or clunking??

Its not a problematic noise, it is just loud overall. Compared to my moms v8 explorer, mine is louder inside and out of the vehicle.

Loud as in the fan blowing air? I really don't see how an engine can be loud without it being problematic (clicking, ticking, rattling). What is it that you are hearing in comparison to your mom's explorer????

I have an '06 Explorer and it is way quieter than my Ranger with a 3.0.The Exlorer has moresound deadning and insulation,plus carpeting.

i think its the fan. mines really loud too, and with my old efan it was really quiet

Yeah,the fan is loud.I actually like the sound the fan makes.
