3.0L stroker kit

I have a 2002 3.0L and I want to build an engine for it and I figure I would just stay with the 3.0L engine and saw that they make a stroker kit. But i aint going to pay 2,000 for the bottom end. The crank is cast steel and forged pistons and rods. I was wondering if anyone know what the part numbers are for them. Cause i know the rods are scat but do not know the part number and who makes the crankshaft and pistons. Thanks.

Haha please... I don't know for sure, but I doubt the pistons are forged. My stock pistons that were in my 4G63T werent even forged (just the rods were).

2000$ for a bottom end is nothing. My HKS 4G63T Internals were 7000$.

If you need parts go to a junk yard. The 3.0 is an OLD engine, parts are available everywhere.

its simply not worth the time and money... but with that time and probably with less money you could swap in a good 5.0 like trent said... and you can get much better gains and still add more aftermarket parts and make tons more power than any 3.0 could

I constantly wish I had a better performing engine in the truck. The last thing I would do is that 5.0 swap, even know it is common. Going with a fully built Turbo 2.3 is a great choice, because it can give you monster torque, and better mileage than the 3.0 does.

x2.

IIRC Morona Racing makes/made a stroker kit for the 3.0L, i'm not positive on that though.
