Proper Plugs for 3.0L

I have recently been reading a lot of talk on this forum about that Ford specs the wrong gap for the Spark plugs for the 4.0L and so forth. But after searching there has been no talk about the 3.0L's. So my question is has anybody figured out a better gap for the 3.0L rather than the specified gap? Your thoughts, please.

MotorCraft specs a 0.44 Gap

I think that is a pretty safe bet. Unless you are running a hotter coil, then it should be around .065"

Of course you'll get better acceleartion with new plugs, any plug would have done that for you.
