Need suggestions on pumpin up my ranger!

Hey guys, I'm 16, found a nice 1999 Ford Ranger, V6, 3.0 Liter. Only had 67,943. I put about 700 on it or so. Had a shell and all, took it off, which seemed to add more power since it was pretty heavy.

I'm lookin for the cheapest, yet safest, and pretty reliable way to prerunner it out a bit. Or even a 3 inch raise in the front or something. Any ideas on which brand to go with, who to go with, or what to do to my truck?

I'm currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada. So if your from here, it'd be a lot more help!

Whats really gunna dictate what way you go is to answer this, is it 2wd or 4wd?

2wd you're really limited on options to get any kind of lift... the only one I know of is a Fabtech 3" spindle lift.

If you've got 4wd, you have 2 options for that pre-runner option (3 but you probably can't afford a Camburg kit)

4wd options are an RCD kit, which is a 5.5" kit. Now you said you wanted a prerunner look, so 5.5" may be much.

second option is a 4" superlift. Thats gunna be the more common lift found on this site.

Talk to a couple of the pre-runner guys, rngrprerunner is one, as well as the guy with the oreo Ranger... can't remember his name.

Yea I forgot to add. My trucks a 2WD..
So any lift would be nice. Though, I'd wanna get an exhaust or something like that possibly before I do any lifting.

2WD you can get a Camburg lift for 5"

Fabtech for 3" or 5.5"

And a body lift for 3"

Those are your 3 options for 2WD.

I dunno, I'm 4wd, so I don't pay attention to 2wd prices, but I know the camburg for 4wd is a lot of coin, what's the price of the 2wd camburg kit?

All of you didn't read the original post. A 1999 Ranger. The torsion bar suspension on 2wd didn't show up until late 2000 with the Trailhead Ranger.

Anyhow, for a 2wd you have more choices than you think.

Camburg

Fabtech

RCD

just get a bl and pro comp es9000s and dont drive it too hard. or just get the 5.5 suspension lift. anything you do will cost you though. lift itself, wheels and tires and unless you know how to do it then putting it all on.

Im pretty clueless when it comes to these things, because I'm still learning.

But this is a 3 inch body lift kit.
would it be willing to by, and give me sort of something of what I'm looking for?
