Mpg Loss With Cut Muffler
I Have A 2000 Ranger With A 3.0 5spd With A 40 Series Flowmaster On It Ant I Was Wondering What Is The Biggest Pipe I Can Put On It. I Was Wondering If I Can Put 3" All The Way Back And 3" Out The Tails. Also Would I Get Any Worse Mileage If I Cut The Muffler Off For A Deeper Sound? Please Help.

You probably won't notice much change in mileage. But if you make any "performance" mod, and then use the "performance" your mileage will drop, lol. That's happened to folks again and again: they make a performance mod, drive the heck out of it, and the truck uses more gas, go figure...
I replace my muffler with an old Flowmaster 40, and dumped it under the truck. The main reason was offroading since I kept messing up the tailpipe and muffler. Sounds pretty good but my year Ranger has a lot of catalytic converters and it's not real loud, though it sounds good.
