Adjusting timing

Hey i was wondering how u adjust the timming on a 3.0 never done it and was thinking i might need an adjustment. Also if i turn the screw on the tb to get the rpms up and get the motor to run better, is that bad?

I think if you tried to set the timing advanced or as they call it retarded the truck would not run right at all you would need to recalibrate the computer

Wikipedia
Modern engines that are controlled by an engine control unit use a computer to control the timing

Anything 94 and older for the 3.0 has the dizzy. I believe the other motors lost them before that even.
