3.0L Vulcan external dimensions

I have a 1964 Econoline pickup. The doghouse and the opening it mounts over were designed for the straight six. Does someone have a link to the external dimensions for a Vulcan 3.0L with an autotrans bolted to it? Does Ford print detailed information of this type in their factory manuals? There have been a number of 5.0L V8 conversions so I expect that the engine is not too wide and a location can be established that will provide sufficient (1"? 2"?) clearance for the tranny. My immediate concern is the intake runners assembly, MAS & air filter. Cooling for both the engine & tranny will be an issue, but its all gotta fit within the doghouse to start with. Any recommendations on years and donor cars along with reasons why will be greatly appreciated.

Straight sixes are quite tall. I doubt you will have any height issues.

Just thinking...You could do it backwards......Measure a Ranger engine compartment and compare those dimensions to the Econoline engine compartment...
