pcv valve hose routing trouble

Please help! I had to replace my pcv valve on my '97 Ranger 2.3L Lima. Well as most will know there are two stems that are on the pcv valve. On the old one the top stem was not open by manufacturing, but on the new replacement, the top stem is open and causing a leak. When I plugged it, it cuts of after shifting from gear to neutral. My question is, is there supposed to be two hoses coming off the pcv valve, also, can anyone with the same engine please take a pic an post it on here of their pcv valve and hose(s)? Thanks in advance.

Matt

Sorry posting from my phone and my fat fingers must've talked the wrong topic. Can I get an admin to swap it over for me?
