Oil pressure jumping

The oil pressure is fine when driving and just idling but if you stop at a red light rev it up the pressure gauge goes to jumping then it's fine. Any ideas it on a 2003 edge 3.0 with about 94,000. Sounds dumb but last time it acted funny all the gauges jumped and had to replace the alternator now it's just the oil pressure. This is my dd to and from work so need advice soon

Take the day off tomorrow and pull the camshaft syncronizer. Inspect the gear on it along with the side play in the bearing. What you described is a symptom of this part failing . When it does go bad , the engine loses all oil pressure.
This is a common problem with that year 3.0.
Use the search button at the top of the pane on this page and enter cam syncro.

Update: tried to make it do it coming home from work no luck. Cut the a/c on hi the head/fog lights on and it does it. Wtc! Just put alternator on it 4 months ago cause all the gauges and speedo was jumping. Can it be that again? What woul be causing it to burn up alternators? It's throwing no codes!

Not your alternator, all that stuff turned on put a little more drain on your engine and probably lowered the rpm's enough to come near the low end of the oil pressure sending switch.
My '03 does the same thing. Only once in a blue moon though. Usually after a long highway run when you come to a stop at the end of the off ramp. The needle will flicker a little bit.
Just so you know that is not a full range gauge. Just on or off. It is more like an idiot light, it only reads on or off. If your oil pressure dips too low it will go right to the bottom.
I have read up on the cam synchro probs. I have no squeaking noises etc... Just the blip in the oil gauge.

The cam syncro does not always chirp or squeek when it goes. You must pull it out to inspect it.
