1994 ranger starter removal problems

1994 ranger starter removal problems

I'm replacing my starter on my 1994 3.0 automatic 4x4 v6 ranger and i took all three of the bolts out and the starter just wont come out, ive tried prying it and hitting it and its not coming off. Any advice?

Haynes Manual?

I'll go look at mine when I get a chance.

i dont have the manual. Yeah that'd be great if you could look into it for me. Its really annoying me, been trying for hourssss to get it off

Did you try to grab the crank pulley and turning the motor just a little?
It might be bound up on the flywheel.
Not likely but try anything.


Just a thought.

The manual says disconnect the electrical and remove bolts. DUH!

haha, pretty much. Sometimes the Haynes Sucks.

There should be four bolts. Mine does, and its a 91.
