I am thinking about a new alternator because I have strobe lights and other lighting(volunteer firefighter) and I am about to install subs and amp. what are some suggestions? where to get one? will it fit? etc

yea I was just about to ask the same thing...im definatly intrested to see what you guys have done...

 

I just upgraded my 95 amp one to a 130 amp one from a 1997 explorer, because of all the lights I have on my truck. You dont have to change any wiring either, I learned that they were interchangable from rogue performance.

 

I can take one from an Explorer? Are they all 130 Amps? I need one because of lights and my efan. I think I'm getting a system soon as well.

 

You can get one from any 96-98 explorer they came standard with a 130 amp alternator
