borla muffler question

so i got quoted for a dual exhaust at $350 plus the cost of the muffler that i will need to supply. before i buy the muffler i just want to make sure the one i want is the right size. its the Borla ProXS Single in 2.5 dual out 2.5. that will work right?

That's pretty steep especially if it's not including the muff man.

Go get another quote... Take it to a few different places and tell them what you want and what other places are charging..

Find out if they're going all new tubing from the cat back and see if you can throw out a few extra bucks to have them remove that last cat... the 2nd one after the y pipe, it's useless and robs mpg, hp and db. Some places MIGHT do it, depending on how much you spend with them, who you know, and why you want it gone.

Gary's Muffler in Boring... They do good work... Ed charges up the a$$ for his muff work... I guarantee anyone will beat him out.

It's legal to not have cats, but it's illegal to remove them.... I mean I removed mine but most shops won't do it... you gotta find someone that will.. helps so much. The cat after the last o2 is useless...

Thought I'd chime in and let you know that the Borla ProXS isn't a very loud muffler at all (if thats what your going for). I'm happy with mine but I wasn't expecting it to be much louder than stock, and its not. It does have a nice medium/low tone to it though so I dont think you'll be dissapointed if you go with it.
