Best exhaust?

Sorry the the probbily over-asked question... But...

I have a 1994 Mazda B3000 with (Pretty much) the same 3l v6 used by a Ranger. I've been toying with it lately, and I'm starting to put in some upgrades. Which is the best sounding exhaust, and do you have clips? I've been looking into a Vortex Cherry Bomb, I think it sounds a lot better on a smaller v6 than a Flowmaster 40 does.

Thanks!

Kirby

I just put my Borla proXS on and it sounds amazing. Get it off ebay for $90 shipped. It's only 2.25 tubing too and it still sounds sick and loud.

Would a cat-back kit for a Ranger work for a B3000? I think it would...

Old school Flow' 40, dumped. Sounds great. Your older 3.0 may be louder since you don't have all the stinking cats on it, lol.

I haven't heard the cherry , so I can't comment.

well it depends on wut kind of sound ur lookin for, the flowmaster 40 series is the loudiest exhaust. And sometimes aggervating on the interstate. But if ur lookin for a not so loud exhaust that purrs really damn good you should go with MagnaFlow. But it all up to wut kind of sound you want ur truck to have!

I have a SS Magnaflow 2.5" SI/2.5" DO with 2.25" piping on my truck. I think it sounds a lot better then Flowmasters.

My borla sounds pretty nice and I had a 40 series dumped before my borla btw.. It now kinda has a slight exotic sound up in the higher rpms vs. a buzzy sound like with the flowmaster. Even my buddy with a stang GT said it sounded nice! lol

I like mine, it's by JBA...but has a magnaflow muffler. Definately quiet around town wakes up above 3 grand, and on startup it sounds perfect.

I have a Flowtech glasspack and think it sounds great. Better than a Flowmaster, IMHO.

The majority of us have the universal fit mufflers(Flowmaster, Borla, Magnaflow, etc.), with custom tubing. You can buy the muffler online and take it to a muffler shop where they take care of welding, bending, and placing the piping. Search and ask around on here to get the sound you want. It basically all comes down to which muffler you get, the size of tubing, and in some cases the tips.

Is there anyone running dual exhaust, and what does it sound like? Did you run dual all the way from the engine, or did you just split it off from the cat back?
Tks.
