MAC Intake help.

I just intsalled it on my truck today and now my idle sucks. The truck shudders and will eventually shut off. I reset the battery to see if that would help and it dosent. Any clue what to do? Also does anyone have pics of the MAC intake in there truck. I wanna make sure everything is plugged in right. Thanks all.

Is the PCV pipe installed to the intake? If not, you get a vacuum leak and bad idle.

It's the little pipe in the pic. Goes from valve cover to hole in intake

it is the crankcase breather tube, and if it is not connected you will indeed have a vacuum leak and a bad idle. If it is connected and just kinked, you'll have the vacuum problem but not the bad idle.

Opps thought I had a signature. 3.0 03 Edge. Yeah its installed but now at an angle so I think that might be something to do with it. Thats why I wanted to see some pics as well.

make sure there is no kinks or other forms of obstructions.

if that doesnt help, it wouldnt hurt to take it back off and fully inspect everything on the intake and re-install it.

actually its a crankcase breather tube, if its not connected you will have a vaccuum leak and a bad idle, if its kinked it should not affect the idle

Technically, Ford calls it the Crankcase ventilation hose. The system is positively charged and has a PCV filter, which is why I refer to it as the PCV hose. When disconnected, you actually lose pressure but the Ford diag manuals call it a vacuum leak, go figure
