Any one know if a 3.0 from a 01 ranger with auto trans will work in a 04 ranger with standard trans? If so what should I expect to change over? It looks the same but of course the dealer says its a different part number for the eng. I don't see what's different. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

Yes it will work. You might find small changes like the upper intake plenum being plastic versus aluminum, but the basic motor is the same. Automatic or manual doesn't matter.
