Help with my 3.0

I am wanting to make my motor run better so Ive been tuning the thin up. My question to you all is what plugs should I run in my truck, someone recommended the E3 plugs.. Are they really worth $36 bucks for all 6? Or should I just go with something a little easier on the wallet?
Also what are some other cheap tricks/tips to clean it up and run better? It's got fresh oil, getting new filter and airbox mod..

Thanks! Nick

I've actually heard to not run E3's... not only are they expensive, but some claim that they are much more likely to drop the ground electrode from vibration.

I just run NGK coppers. Never had a problem with any of NGK's products.

Bottom line is the engine will run much better on fresh plugs than ones that are completel worn out. So Motorcraft, AC Delco, NGK, Bosch, and possibly a couple others that I forgot.

If you do go to some fancy platinum or iridium plugs, be sure to put a dab of anti-seize on the threads, since they will last a lot longer than the standard copper types. Since they'll be in there for a long time, you don't want it to be difficult to remove them 100,000 miles later...

NGK seem to work really well in my flex fuel 3.0. Other wise, Id even recommend Motorcrafts. Cant go wrong with a OE plug.

Well I bought autolite double plats. Did the air box mod, cleaned the throttle body and the MAF sensor..
Seafoamed the motor and changed the oil, it's running a lot better! Now I just need to find a good straight bed for it, so I can finally put stuff in it.. Since the stepsides are too small
